Finding a new hobby, any suggestion?

Marcia Cheathan: I'm thinking photography. It's a great way to 'capture the moment' and not too expensive. Plus you can make gifts that your family will love and again, not cost to much, but mean so much. If you don't have a camera, they are really reasonable these days and usually come with all of the tools to set up a program on your computer. You can then either print at home or easily forward only the photos you like to a photo center near you. You can photoshop or enhance the photos on your computer too. ...Show more

Bryant Pillitteri: I suggest knitting or crocheting. It's not just for girls. I promise! :)Personally, I am learning to knit and it is fun to me. I'm currently teaching myself using mainly internet sources like youtube. You can start simple to see how you like it. Pick a color yarn you like and some needles, (check Walmart) go online and pick a project like a beanie or scarf. See how you like it. :) ...Show more

Deangelo Marchak: Hi. One hobby which you can start off on is Origami. It is the art of paper folding. I guess you would already be familiar with it. What is origami: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OrigamiWhat is a kusudama: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KusudamaAll that you need is paper, time and patience! You can choose to fold a variety of models from fantasy creatures like dragons and dinosaurs to animals like reindeers and cattle, to butterflies and birds. You can also make ornamental traditional Japanese hangings for your house; these are called 'Kusudama'. Another kind of origami model is that of modular origami. These are pretty simple depending upon the model you choose. The kind of paper you need would be Origami paper which you can purchase from your local craft store or from amazon.com. These come in traditional Japanese paper prints as well as in solid colors. Another option is to use wrapping paper. These make great paper espe! cially for the Modular pieces and kusudamas as they come in a ! variety of colors and patterns. These can be cut down into squares in the size you want too. I myself am into Origami and have tried folding some models. You can view them at:http://origamiancy.com/This site also has links in it to instructional videos on youtube.comHappy folding!!...Show more
