I want to work within mental health?

Debora Soliani: what about the school district this depends on if you like to work with kids, but in the psecial education, or maybe you can even become a counselor with your degree.

Tillie Wynott: I'm not fussed about what exactly. Would just like to know there's room for advancement. I know I would enjoy being a Support Worker, but knowing there's no room for progression and being on 13k for the rest of my life (with a degree) is a bit dismall to me. I was thinking of perhaps undertaking an Occupational Therapy Masters and specialising in Mental Health. Any comments?

Lynn Melbourne: it would be hard for you to do anything but be a support worker with the degree you have, and you don't want to take nursing which would mean you could become a mental health nurse.if you wanted to do anything else around mental health you could train to be a psychologist or psychiatrist, but that's a lot of years training and hard work so it depends on how long you want to study for and how hard.but being a support worker isn't that bad. you can still be in a mental health setting i.e. a psychiatric hospital and help out with the patients.what sort of thing do you actually want! to do within mental health? i will edit if you answer.good lu! ck and take care...Show more
