I know I've only been on here for a day, but I'd like to become a top contributor in the adolescent section?

Ramon Dahlheimer: I don't think they ever said exactly how many best answers you need in a category to be a "top contributor." I suspect it varies from category to category depending on how popular the category is. Just pick a category that you're good in and answer A LOT of questions in that category and you, too, can be a "top contributor." Don’t believe people when they say “just answer 50 answers in 30 days” or stuff like that. Yahoo keeps it deliberately vague so they never promised an exact figure to anyone. It may, as I said, vary from category to category. However, I have a rough idea of how long it takes to become a top contributor because a friend of mine made it after she answered all her questions in only one (1) category for a month in order to earn that badge. She doesn’t log on as often as I do so that only amounted to about 85 answers but she made it. She had a 30% “best answer rating.”It’s been said somewhere here on Yahoo that you need at ! least 10% of those answers to be “best answers.” It may take weeks of answering a lot in a category so be patient, Rome wasn't built in a day. While I made it to “Top Contributor” in two weeks of answering regularly in certain categories, I do log on every single day. It’s harder to make it to Top Contributor if you only log in now and then or, when you log in, you don’t answer a ton of questions.Just remember, concentrate your energies on ONE sub-category. Don’t answer all categories say, in Health, but concentrate on Alternative Health or Women’s Health or Men’s Health or Diet and Fitness. PICK ONE SPECIFIC CATEGORY AND STICK WITH IT! Jannette Kotz: Give really honest, helpful and useful advice and answersBe yourself and don’t be judgmental.Don’t give stupid answers like idk , That’s not going to get you a best answer and it’s not advice!You don’t have to write paragraphs you just have to get the point across.You would have to be on Yahoo a lot, (On average maybe 3-5 days a week)Dedicate yourself to one particular category you know a lot about and stay there, Don’t be lead astray!I think you have to get a 10% best answer status or 45-50 best answers in a month, I’m not sure about that.Yahoo are very vague about it and I think they change it regularly.The top contributor badge always comes on a Monday. You would need to be gaining about 200 points a week from the category you want to be a top contributor in. It’s not that much to be honest.When a Question has expired over 4 or 5 days then vote for yourself which also gives you one point.It do! esn’t matter what level you are on, You can become a top contributor at any level after level 1, I have not yet seen a Top contributor who is on level 1, It’s not really possible. You can become a Top Contributor in any category EXCEPT Polls and Surveys and Jokes and Riddles. I think Yahoo just see that as a matter of opinion. You can become a Top Contributor in up to 3 levels although I have often seen people being a Top contributor in 4 categories too, but it isn’t that common. The Top contributor badge is dynamic. Elden Dedon: I takes about 2-3 weeks if you are always getting Best Answers on a particular category.Some say you have to get 10% or more percent of Best Answers.Just focus on the Adolescent section and get as many Best Answers as possible. That's the key....Show more
