Will Gen. Mixon be dismissed?
Rachal Osaki: Bush does listen to his generals on the ground, however, the last thing he will do in this situation is withdraw them. That will only begin to happen after the democrats start making the decisions. Bush has repeatedly threathened to veto any kind of bill that reaches his table on this matter.About Turkey fighting with the Kurdish terrorists entering their country, let them exterminate any terrorist that enter their land to bomb villages and kill babies.By the way, since the Turkish Republic has the most powerful military after the United States, among the members of NATO, I wouldn't worry about them taking care of themselves. I have recently read that they lost another dozen of their troops by a land mine planted in their own land by some Kurdish terrorists.Turks opened their doors to the Kurds when they were running away from Saddam's abuse. Now those Kurds are trying to demand the Turkish land from the people who saved them, by planting land mines and bomb! s in their land.If the Turks had felt the US backing them politically on their way against those Kurdish terrorists, they would have ended the problem a long time ago. I think they don't want to jeopordize the political relationships they have with us, thus they are waiting on the border instead of taking action.I despise terrorism of any kind and it is baffling we can't do anything to end this in Iraq. Pulling back the troops will cause a chaos like we haven't seen before.Wishing for peace in the world....Show more
Ewa Homrich: No I think its a calculated political move. Hes got a few saying we have victory. I like the quote I am not worried about Turkey and Kurds. Right thats going to be a bloody and violent deal. It wont get much press so dont fret too much, the body counts and devestation will be carefully shielded from view by the average american. Bush's legacy instability and death. When Saddam gassed the Kurds no one worried until he didnt do what we tol! d him.
