I've heard that the DH programs are quite challenging with a lot of information to learn. It is my understanding though that the DH and dental programs are two separate entities and that dental school requires certain prereq courses as well as an excellent gpa (grade point average) in the prereq's as well as overall gpa in addition to a score from the DAT (dental admissions test) and perhaps among other requirements.Here is a website for general career info: www.bls.gov/oco and search 'dentists'.
