need car maintenance list?
Tijuana Tatsak: -Oil is the first priority and that should be changed every 3000 miles or 3 months and replaced with fresh 10w30 oil and a new oil filter which is a vary easy job. -Air filter should replaced once every 15,000 miles but that depends upon how clean it is. If it still looks new and it's not warped in any way it's still good.-Anti-Freeze- Change it once a year when it starts getting cold and you should do so with a 50/50 mix of anti-freeze and water. Don't buy pre mix because it's alot more expensive. Adjust depending upon the area you live in. If it gets super cold 60/40 may be required.-brake pads- change them once you start noticing a metal on metal noise or decreased breaking power-transmission fluid- that is a heavily debated subject so ask your dealership. As long as it doesn't smell burnt and has the same viscosity (it's just heavily refined oil).-Rubber hoses- they deteriorate over time and can cause vacuum leaks which cause a very wide array of probl! ems which are simple fixes but may cost you (alot of ppl fix parts which don't need fixing trying to eliminate the problem when it's a cracked hose)- Tires- Very essential because they control alot of aspects about your car and if you start seeing belts hanging out change them ASAP but a good indicator is the wear indicators or the penny trick- Tire psi- also critical to good fuel economy and life of the tires, typical tire pressure is around 35 psi under normal conditions but that varies with temperature....Show more
