Your thesis is as follows: Is the high cost of post secondary education influencing more students to live at home and commute to college?To determine the answer, you need to find a group or groups of people to ask about this. You could start by asking the members of the senior class at your high school. This is a group who is making the decision about college right now or some time this year. You could also formulate a questionnaire for students at a local college or university to see if they feel they made the right decision. Now this will give you a large sampling of information to help you come up with answers. There will be information about how seniors see the situation and how their parents' financial situation and personal opinions helped to make the decision on where to apply. From the local college campus, you will get answers from students in every situation you can imagine. It will be impo! rtant how you word your questions so that the information you get is information you can use to answer your thesis. The most important part of this is how you will conduct your questionnaire. You can probably get permission from the office to get every senior to fill out your form or you during homeroom one day or something. For the college, you will have to get permission to set up a table for the purpose of soliciting participation in your survey.
