Is there a more simplify word for drawing, photography, and sculptures?

answers1: This question restates those asked at least 3 times in the
past and you should research those periods for their answers. The
first occurred after the US Civil War when some people claimed that
photography was only good for recording facts (like dead bodies and
live portraiture) and could not be/was not art while photographers
were capturing images of nature, etc., that clearly were art. The next
occurred after WWI when a battle went between people who believed that
photos had to show recognizable if highly detailed scenes (think of
Ansel Adams nature) and those that believed the photographic process
should be manipulated to abstract qualities (think of solarization and
direct imaging) and the third battle was over the use of color in "art
photographs" where people who accepted photography as art believed
that only black and white was art and color was snapshots or was "too
real" to be art - the Amon Carter Museum in Ft.Worth has held a couple
of exhibits in recent years of the images of the pioneers in this last
battle.
answers2: Other than visual art, drawing and photography are often
referred to as 2D art forms and sculpture as 3D. But perhaps you mean
the word "medium" (media) which is the material that is used in the
artwork. You can get into more descriptive terms for each medium such
as marble or wood sculpture, etc., or colored pencil drawing, but that
is not very simple. Hope this helps.
