Battery light & oil on in the accessory position?
answers1: All cars display the function of every dash bulb, including
the oil pressure lamp, to show that they work when the key is on the
accessory position. They always turn off when the key is out of the
ignition. <br>

Do you have spark at a grounded spark plug thread when someone else is
turning the starter on? Don't bother removing any of the plugs, just
snap a new one for that vehicle in one of the spark plug ignition wire
boots and ground the threads of the plug.
answers2: Those lights come on in acc.
answers3: The light for the battery should be lit when the key is in
the ACC position, but not the oil light, unless the oil level is
low................................begin with the easiest items to
inspect and go from there, like the battery and cables, to the starter
and corrosion on the terminals
answers4: As Scott says, they come on in the acc position. The oil
light comes on because there is no oil pressure... the engine is not
running, which is the whole point of the acc position.
